(Rochester, NY)... Major League Lacrosse, the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, announced Monday its weekly award winners for the week ending July 27th according to MLL Commissioner David Gross.

Rochester Rattlers attackman John Grant was named as the League's Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season while San Francisco Dragons midfielder Greg Gurenlian earned the Defensive Player of the Week award. Meanwhile, Los Angeles Riptide goalkeeper Mickey Jarboe was honored as the Goalkeeper of the Week and New Jersey Pride midfielder Stephen Peyser was selected as the Cascade Rookie of the Week.

Grant tied a Rochester single-game record and set an MLL season high with eight goals, including a two-point marker, to lead the Rattlers to a 26-19 victory over the Boston Cannons on Saturday night. He also added two assists in the victory, setting a league season high with 11 points.

The reigning Warrior Offensive Player of the Year and Bud Light MVP, Grant has tallied 52 points in 10 games this year for the Rattlers. He has scored 37 goals, including four two-point markers, and has 11 assists.
