Chicago Rush News Release

New Chicago Rush mascot Grabowski is so excited for his first Halloween he has volunteered to help Rush fans Trick-or-Treat and to host a pumpkin decorating contest.

Grabowski will auction off his availability for Halloween Trick-or-Treating duty with one Chicagoland neighborhood, with all proceeds going to the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund.

Fans wishing to bid to have Grabowski Trick-or-Treat in their neighborhood on Halloween should e-mail their bid to tgg@chicagorush.com (minimum opening bid $250, neighborhoods limited to Chicagoland area only). The auction will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, and the winning bid will be announced at noon on October 27. Fans can track the current bidding each day on the team's Web site, www.chicagorush.com.

In addition, Grabowski also is hosting the team's inaugural Halloween pumpkin decorating contest. Rush fans are encouraged to decorate or carve a pumpkin with anything Rush in mind. Some of Grabowski's suggestions include decorating in the likeness of a Rush player, coach or even team owner Mike Ditka.

The winner of the contest - which will be judged by a team of Rush staff, players, Adrenaline Rush Dancers and coaches - will receive a football autographed by Mike Ditka and four tickets to the Rush home opener in February.

To participate fans should e-mail a digital photo of their pumpkin creations to tgg@chicagorush.com. All photos will be posted in the photo gallery on the Rush Web site and the contest winner will be announced November 1.
