Rome, GA - Join Rocket Wheeler, Randy Ingle, Bobby Moore, Brian Bridges, Jonathan Schuerholz, and 2011 SAL ALL- STAR Jacob Dalfonso along with other Atlanta Braves representatives for the third annual Celebrity Shoot-Out Golf Tournament on Friday, November 4. The event is presented by The Rome Braves, Floyd County Police Department benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Rome. The tournament will be held on Friday November 4th at Stonebridge Golf Club in Rome with an awards reception afterwards.
Wheeler managed the Rome club from 2003 - 2005 and Randy Ingle returns to Rome in 2012 after serving as manager from 2006 - 2010. Moore is the current hitting coach in Lynchburg while former Rome Braves player Jonathan Schuerholz now serves as the new manager of the Danville Braves. Dalfonso was named to the South Atlantic League All-Star team in 2011 before an unfortunate season ending injury. Bridges is a regional scout for the Atlanta Braves organization.
Each tournament participant will have an opportunity to play a par three hole with the featured celebrities on the course. As part of the Celebrity foursome, each group will receive an additional shot from the featured celebrity on that hole.
The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs is to enable all young people, especially those in need, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens and provide a safe place to learn and grow. Former members of the Boys & Girls Club of Rome are being asked to participate in the tournament or to merely donate $5-10 to the proceeds in an effort to benefit this community asset.
