Glenn Patrick Relieved of Head Coaching Duties

PITTSBURGH - Glenn Patrick has been relieved of his head coaching duties with the Penguins' American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced today by General Manager Craig Patrick.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins finished the season 36-32-7-5 in third place in the South Division. In the AHL Playoffs, the Penguins defeated Utah, 2-0, in the Western Conference Qualifying Series before losing to Grand Rapids, 3-1, in the Western Conference Quarterfinals.

"After reviewing all of the circumstances, we decided it was time to make a change," said Craig Patrick.
