Cleveland Gladiators News Release

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Gladiators activated OL CRAIG HEIMBURGER and DL ELEX REED from the injured reserve list, the team announced today. Head Coach Mike Wilpolt also placed DL SILAS DEMARY and OL TANGO McCAULEY on injured reserve.

Heimburger (6.3, 320, Missouri) started two games this season for the Gladiators, before being placed on injured reserve on March 13. He suffered an ankle injury in Week 2 versus Utah.

Reed (6.5, 270, Mary Hardin-Baylor) is in his rookie season with the Gladiators. He was placed on injured reserve at the conclusion of training camp and has not seen game action. The 2007 arenafootball2 Russell Athletic Lineman of the Year, Reed was a big reason behind Bossier-Shreveport's best regular season finish ever at 11-5. He completed the year with a league-best 25.0 tackles for loss and also ranked second overall with 17.5 sacks. On top of that, Reed added 37.5 tackles, forced three fumbles and blocked two kicks for Bossier-Shreveport to help propel the team to its first-ever playoff berth.

Demary (6.3, 285, Virginia State) appeared in three games for the Gladiators this season, recording 2.5 tackles. He was listed inactive for the Gladiators games at Columbus and New Orleans.

McCauley (6.4, 305, Alabama State) injured his hand in the Week 6 loss at Dallas. Having started in four of the Gladiators five games, McCauley was a part of a blocking effort that allowed the Gladiators to rush for 50-or more yards on two occasions.

The Cleveland Gladiators return to Quicken Loans Arena on Friday, April 11 when they face John Elway's Colorado Crush. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. Great seats are still available by calling 216.685.9000, by visiting any TicketMaster location or online at www.clevelandgladiators.com.
