CHICAGO - Cleveland Gladiators quarterback Shane Austin has been voted AFL MVP for Week 3 of the 2014 NET10 Wireless Arena Football League season.
Austin (6-1, 200, Hawaii) came into the game in the second half of Cleveland's 37-26 victory over the New Orleans VooDoo. After being down 17 points at halftime, Austin orchestrated a 34-point swing in the final two quarters, accounting for five total touchdowns by tossing three scores and rushing for two more as the Gladiators rolled to a 2-0 start to the season.
Fans had 24 hours to vote for the AFL MVP award on ArenaFootball.com. Other candidates included Jacksonville Sharks quarterback R.J. Archer and Pittsburgh Power quarterback Tommy Grady.
