Casper Ghosts News Release

At 10:00 A.M., Tuesday September 8th, the players of the Casper Ghosts will descend on the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies (WFBR) to assist in sorting and packing food products that will be distributed to the needy throughout the State of Wyoming. WFBR's Director, Marguerite Meyer states that, "without community partnerships and the giving spirit of Wyomingites, WFBR would not be able to accomplish the massive task of distributing food to over 250 non-profit agencies that are on the front lines of hunger."

In that spirit of giving, the Casper Ghosts will also be offering FREE ADMISSION to anyone bringing four or more cans of food to Mike Lansing Field on Wednesday, September 9th. The opening pitch will be at 7:05 P.M.

Chris Maxwell, the Ghosts Community Relations Coordinator said, "the Ghosts as an organization realize how important the work of the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies is to the people of Wyoming. Every person who brings just four canned goods down to Mike Lansing Field on September 9th will receive one free ticket to that night's game. We are committed to working with the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies to raise awareness to the plight of those in our community who desperately need our help and compassion"

Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies, an arm of Food Bank of the Rockies, serves the entire state of Wyoming from their distribution hub in Mills, and last year distributed over 2 million pounds of food through over 200 hunger relief programs. Food Bank of the Rockies has a four-star Charity Navigator rating, BBB accreditation and is a member of Feed America, the nation's food bank.

If you or your company would like to help sustain Wyomingites in need, please contact the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies for more information on how you can be a part of this program. For further information call, 307-265-2172, 811-265-2172, or go to www.foodbankrockies.org
