The Ogden Raptors are getting down to business and gearing up for an exciting season. The fun is right around the corner said Raptors General Manager Trever Wilson. Now that we have hit the start of May it is officially Baseball Season around Lindquist Field. While many youth games have been taking place over the last six weeks the main event of the Home Opener is finally in sight.
The first step to a fun filled summer is making sure your tickets are secured. The Raptors Box Office is will officially be open for in person ticket sells starting this coming Monday, May 5th at 10am. Come redeem your box seat vouchers, pick up your season tickets, or secure you individual game tickets.
The Ogden Raptors team is reporting to Lindquist Field shortly after the opening of the Box Office next week. Spring Training for all those invited will start with a team meeting on Thursday, May 8th with the first team workout on field Friday, May 9th.
While the gates of Lindquist Field won't be fully open, those fans that can not wait until the Home Opener May 27th to watch some baseball, they are encouraged to come watch the team workout. Workout plans are still being finalized by Field Manager and Ogden Native, Evan Parker. Once available we will share the specific times that you can come catch a glimpse of this year's team.
The previously announced Local Tryout comes next in the timeline to the Home Opener. Saturday, May 10th at 10am those still hoping to make the roster will have there chance to impress. While the Spring Training list is set, there is always an opportunity to hit it big or even just make the short list of back ups. The Annual Fan Fest will return on Saturday, May 17th. The Fan Home Run Derby will be back again. Those who think that they've got the stuff and step in the box and swing for the fences. Any ball hit over the fence will result in the batter receiving two 2025 Season Tickets. The Derby will kick off the night of fun when gates open at 5:30pm but that will definitely not be the last of it. After the Fan Home Run Derby the Ogden Raptors team will be playing an inter-squad scrimmage game of 6-7 innings. At the conclusion of the scrimmage the team will practice a PBL Knockout Round. While the gates open at 5:30pm all those that choose to come out to the free event will be able to wonder around Lindquist Field to take in the updated menus, try some of the new food items, and of course get set up will all the new team gear from the Merchandise Stand.
The season opens on the road for the Ogden Raptors with a six game series in Oakland, California on May 20th. This will be the first time that the Oakland Ballers will play the Ogden Raptors since they joined the league at the start of the 2024 season.
After six games the team will travel back to Ogden for the Home Opener which will be held at Lindquist Field on Tuesday, May 27th. Gates that night will open at 5:30pm and the true fun for all those Ogden Fans can begin.
