ATLANTA- The Georgia Force is pleased to announce the hiring new team president, Cory Howerton. In this role, Howerton will be responsible for all business activities of the club including ticket and sponsorship sales, game operations, media relations and community relations.
"I am extremely excited to be joining the Force." Howerton said. "Everyone in the organization from ownership on down has one singular goal - to be the best franchise in sports on the field, and the most guest-centric organization off the field."
Prior to joining the Force, Howerton served as the COO/GM for the Cleveland Gladiators of the AFL. As the leader of the Gladiators executive management team, Howerton oversaw all sales platforms including all team ticket sales and operation, as well as sponsorship development, sales and service.
Howerton also spent time in Minor and Major League Baseball, the NBA, the WNBA and the Western Hockey League.
In addition to his duties with the Force, Howerton is the chairman of Endeavor Sports and Entertainment, a company he founded in 2009 to serve the growing needs of specialty corporate driven partnerships within the sports industry.
Howerton and his wife Melinda are the parents of five children, Sarah, Chandler, Alyssa, Spencer and Kadence, and they reside in Atlanta.
