Generals Name Harrison Franssen 73rd Captain

Oshawa, ON - The Oshawa Generals announce that Harrison Franssen has been named the 73rd captain in the franchise's history.

Harrison is in his fourth season with the Generals after being selected in the ninth round of the 2022 OHL Draft. During that time, he has played 129 games, collecting 55 points, including 30 goals and 25 assists.

Franssen was also a factor in the Generals' back-to-back trips to the OHL Championship, playing in 37 OHL playoff games.

Joining Harrison on the Oshawa Generals leadership team for the 2026/27 season as alternate captains will be Brooks Rogowski and Brady Murnane.

Rogowski was drafted by the Generals in the second round of the 2024 OHL Draft and is entering his third season with the Generals. This past offseason, Brooks was drafted to the NHL, getting selected with the first pick in the Second round by the Vancouver Canucks.

Murnane is going into his second year as a Gen, signing with the team ahead of the 2025/26 season. Murnane, from Clifton Park, NY, played in 55 games last season and was named to the Connor McDavid OHL Top Prospects Game.

The Oshawa Generals Home Opener is on Sunday, September 20th at 6:05 PM when the Generals take on the North Bay Battalion.
