FC Edmonton News Release

EDMONTON, AB - FC Edmonton owners Tom and Dave Fath wish to announce the departure of FC Edmonton General Manager Rod Proudfoot from the soccer Club effective Oct. 30, 2015. A search for a new General Manager is currently underway by the Club.

Proudfoot explains, "When Tom Fath and I met in January of 2013 to discuss the GM position with FC Edmonton, I asked Tom for three years in order to achieve a number of business goals with the Club. While we have achieved some of these targets such as improved branding, attendance growth and organizational development, there is still much left to do in growing the revenue areas of ticket sales, filling the stadium consistently and generating greater levels of corporate sponsorship." Proudfoot adds, "My three years are up and we agree that now is the time for someone else with different skills and expertise to take FC Edmonton over the finish line."

"I have always appreciated the time Rod has given FC Edmonton" stated Tom Fath, who owns FC Edmonton with his brother Dave. "Rod has contributed a lot of energy towards the success of FC Edmonton. Rod is very loyal and dedicated to whatever he does."

Proudfoot adds, "I would like to thank Tom and Dave Fath for their trust in me to run their Club, as well as Coach Colin Miller, who has been providing excellent leadership with the Club's soccer operations. I hope that the rest of Edmonton will come to support this team as passionately as I have."
