The AA-plus International Hockey League's Dayton Gems of Hara Arena are proud to announce the opening of the Gems' free agent camp Wednesday, September 23 at 9am at Hara Arena.
"This camp will give us a great opportunity to look at some new, potentially undiscovered talent," coach John Marks said. "We have players coming in from as far as Finland for tomorrow's camp and we are excited to watch them play."
Tomorrow's camp will include one player from Finland, three players from Canada, two from Michigan, one from New York, Iowa and Indiana and the remaining players in camp will be from the Miami Valley.
"It's great to see so many players from all over headed to Hara Arena," General Manager Richard Bruner said. "It shows that players are excited about this team and this league and want to be a part of it!"
Free agent camp as well as the Gems' general training camp will be open to the public and will begin at 9am on both Wednesday and Thursday.
