The Gems fans braved the winter weather as the Flint Generals made their way to Hara tonight. The 1st period was all defense as both teams battle to a 0 - 0 tie. Before the 2nd was half gone Dayton's Jon Ornelas put the 1st point on the board with the help of Pierce Norton. Only to have Flint even the score only 16 seconds later. In the 3rd Flint would take the lead playing short handed which would be the game winning goal. Flint 2 - Gems 1. The Gems standings are now 18-23-3-1.

Calling all Rascal Flatts fans! Disappointed that the concert was cancelled...the Gems invite you to head to Hara - in fact - bring your ticket and we'll give you $1 off the adult ticket for Saturdays' game. It's also Lefty McFadden tribute night as the Gems take on the Port Huron Icehawks at 7:30pm. Local legends will be in attendance including: Tom Hamlin, Marc Katz and Bucky Albers.

The Gems hit the road again this Wednesday for the long ride to Quad City to take on the Mallards. Listen live on the Gems website: www.daytongems.com on the B2 network as Tom Michaels calls the play by play.

On Friday, February 12th start your engines its Auto Racing night when the Gems meet Muskegon at 730pm. Chat with representatives from Shady Bowl and Eldora. All race fans are welcome. It's also Frothy Friday with $2 Drafts.

Valentines Day will be the day to bring your sweetheart to Hara for the game against Quad City at 5pm. The first 1st 700 ladies will receive carnations courtesy of Furst Florist. After the game join the Gems on the ice for a chance to Skate with the Team.

All adult tickets only $10. Student and Childrens tickets $7. Groups are welcome and parking is free.

Each Monday evening join the Gems at Fox and Hound in Beavercreek at 9pm as they become Miami Valley Idol judges .

On Thursday have lunch with the players at Brixx downtown. See you at noon!.
