
Gatorade expands WNBA marketing program

NEW YORK and CHICAGO, March 26, 2007 - Gatorade has expanded its WNBA marketing partnership as part of a multi-year renewal with the league. Under the new agreement, Gatorade will continue building upon its already strong partnership and increase initiatives in the U.S.
As the "Official Sports Drink" of the WNBA, Gatorade will team with the league to help grow the sport of basketball at the youth, competitive, and professional levels. Gatorade will utilize WNBA events and other promotions to drive sales of Gatorade.
Gatorade will continue its affiliation with the Jr. WNBA, a youth basketball support program designed to provide information about proper basketball techniques, nutrition and health, coaching methods, parental advice, sportsmanship, and much more. The new agreement will expand Gatorade's presenting partnership of the Jr. WNBA through a new Championship Series program for girls, to be staged in 12 cities this year, 14 cities in 2008, and 16 cities starting in 2009.
