GARY, Ind. (January 8, 2004) â The Gary Steelheads invite fans to welcome back the Steelheads on Friday, January 16. The Steelheads will be returning from a four-game road trip and will face the Yakima Sun Kings at 7:05 p.m. at the Genesis Convention Center.
It is Gary and Merrillville Community Night and the Steelheads are offering special group rates for Gary and Merrillville residents. Groups may purchase lower level end seats for $8 and upper level seats for $4.
Biddy Basketball Teams from Midtown and Merrillville will play at halftime. It is also American Red Cross Blood Drive Night. The Steelheads and the Red Cross are holding a blood drive during the game. . The drive will be from 5-9:30 p.m. at the Genesis Convention Center. All donors will receive tickets to a future Steelheads game.
If you are at least 17 years old, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and are in good, general health, you may be eligible to donate blood. Please call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE (1-800-4480-3543) to schedule your blood donation appointment.
Saturday is Biddy Basketball Group Night. All Biddy Basketball teams are invited to enjoy a night of fun, fellowship and entertainment at a discounted rate. State Farm Bank is the official game sponsor for this game.
To take advantage of these special rates, you must order your seats by January 13.
