February 26, 2006 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
New York Dragons News Release
(February 26) Dragons' QB Aaron Garcia suffered a fractured tibia in the team's 55-35 victory over the Orlando Predators on Sunday afternoon. He is out for an indefinite period of time. The injury occurred in the third quarter when he was sacked by Orlando's Henry Taylor.
"It's a hard thing to see happen," said Dragons head coach Weylan Harding. "I have a very personal relationship with Aaron. I've played against him, I've coached against him and now I'm coaching him. You hate to see any athlete go down like that."
Garcia finished the day completing 16 of 19 passes for 189 yards and four touchdowns. Rookie QB Juston Wood came in for Garcia and completed eight of 12 passes for 70 yards and one touchdown.
