Key 1: Get Pechar in front of the Net
- The Lincoln Stars almost overcame a three-goal deficit late in the third last night. Both of those late goals came from a redirect shot from Jack Pechar. This marks his third goal of the postseason and sits currently tied for second for the most goals in this Clark Cup Playoffs.
Key 2: Put the Breaks on Sioux City's Power Play
- Last night the Lincoln Stars allowed its first power play goal of the postseason by going 4-for-5 on the penalty kill. In the previous series against the Waterloo Blackhawks Lincoln faced five penalty kills and stopped all five attempts. The Stars in the playoffs currently have a 90% penalty kill percentage. The second best in the Clark Cup Playoffs.
Key 3: More Apples from Janviriya
- Stars' Defensemen Kai Janviriya played a crucial role in last night's game by assisting on both of Jack Pechar's goals. Janviriya has three assists in his last two games and sits tied for second among defensemen for the most this postseason. He finished the regular season with 21 assists and tied for third most on the Lincoln Stars.
