NEWS & NOTES:
Slaying the OgoPogo: The Wheat Kings are coming off a 3-0 shutout over the Kelowna Rockets Wednesday night. It was a game Head Coach Don MacGillivray called "The best of the season so far". Every player was clicking. Nate Danielson led the way offensively with 1 Goal and 2 Assists earning first star, blue liner Andrei Malyavin was able to score his first WHL goal and Carson Bjarnason picked up his first career WHL shutout stopping all 29 shots he faced.
Welcome Old Friend: Tonight will be an interesting matchup for the Wheat Kings as they take on Tyson Zimmer and the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Zimmer was dealt to the Hurricanes last month for a pair of draft picks September 27th. Since being acquired, Zimmer has picked up 4 assists in 9 games played and added a shootout winner for the Hurricanes.
