FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution (2-0-1; 7 pts.) will visit Nashville SC (0-0-3, 3 pts.) at Nissan Stadium on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. ET. The match airs locally on WSBK-TV38 and myRITV, also streaming on ESPN+ for out-of-market subscribers. The contest is available locally on the radio on 98.5 The Sports Hub HD2 and 1260 AM Nossa Radio (Portuguese).

After taking seven points from the season's first three games, including back-to-back home victories, the Revolution currently sit in first place in the Eastern Conference and are one win away from matching the best four-game start in club history (3-0-1 in 2005). One week removed from New England's first-ever win over Atlanta United, a victory in Saturday's match would mark the Revs' first win against Nashville in three all-time meetings after the two sides played to a pair of draws in 2020, Nashville's inaugural MLS season. With a result on Saturday, the Revolution would take points from a season's first two away matches for the first time since 2011, which was also the last time the club started the MLS campaign unbeaten through four games.

Last Saturday's win against Atlanta featured a stellar goal-and-assist performance from midfielder Carles Gil, who earned him MLSsoccer.com Team of the Week honors. The Revolution captain enters Week 4 as the MLS leader in chances created from set play, also ranking among the league's top three in overall chances created, big chances created, primary assists, and fouls won. After Gil converted the game-winning goal from the penalty spot on May 1, New England is now 7-1-4 across all competitions when the Spaniard scores a goal. Last year, it was Polish striker Adam Buksa who delivered the club's lone strike against Nashville, a left-footed rocket from outside the box in the teams' only previous meeting at Nissan Stadium.

The Revolution's last match also featured an impressive debut performance from Brazilian midfielder Maciel. The 21-year-old native of Rio de Janeiro started alongside Matt Polster and completed 100 percent of his 33 passes as he became the first Revolution II alum to feature for the first team. Maciel and Polster provided extra security for a backline that is riding a 259-minute streak without conceding a goal from open play. The defense has also gotten involved in the attack of late as right back Brandon Bye scored the opener against Atlanta and delivered the cross that caused an own goal vs. D.C. United on April 24.

Here are a few top storylines to watch for during Saturday's contest:

The Revolution (2-0-1; 7 pts.) remaining in first place in the Eastern Conference after securing seven-of-nine points from the first three games.

The Revs improving to 3-0-1 to match the best four-game start in club history (2005). A win would give New England a three-game winning streak in the regular season for the first time since 2019.

New England, which tied for first in MLS with six wins away from home last season, collecting its first win over Nashville SC after going 0-0-2 in the hosts' inaugural MLS season.

The Revolution starting a stretch of three games in nine days, all against teams that qualified for the MLS Cup Playoffs in 2020 in Nashville, Philadelphia, and Columbus.
