August 27, 2014 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Orlando City SC News Release

ORLANDO - August 27, 2014 - Orlando City SC (17-3-4-, 55 points) is set to face the Wilmington Hammerheads (7-7-9, 30 points) on Thursday night as the Lions continue its chase for a third Regular Season Title. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET at Legion Stadium.

The match will be live-streamed via www.YouTube.com/WilmHammerheadsFC.

Thursday's match marks the final contest in Orlando's current three-game swing away from the City Beautiful. Despite 15 points separating both sides in the league standings, the approaching match will prove to be another testing road fixture for the Lions.

Heading into the game, Orlando holds a 4-3-2 all-time record against the Hammerheads, as both sides have exchanged results over the years. In the only match-up between City and Wilmington in 2014, Orlando came out on top after securing a 2-0 win over the Hammerheads at ESPN Wide World of Sports in July.

"It's never easy to play in Wilmington," said Head Coach Adrian Heath. "It's a really tight field, so invariably it's been tough for us there. But we've picked up a few results there in the past, and I expect us to do the same on Thursday."

The Lions head into North Carolina with momentum after notching a valiant 3-2 victory in Richmond last week. The Lions' latest Major League Soccer (MLS) signees showed encouraging signs in their debuts, as both former SL Benfica players found the back of the net. In addition, Kevin Molino continued his impressive attacking form in 2014, curling a superb effort to break the USL PRO single-season scoring record with his 16th goal of the season.
