The Omaha Beef will open their 2008 season against the Billings Outlaws at Rimrock Auto Arena at MetraPark. The teams meet for the first time this season while the match-up will be the fifth in less than a calendar year. The Beef will be guided by first-year head coach Steve Warren while the Outlaws will be led again by Heron O'Neal. Both teams have a core of returning players that will mesh together with a collection of new faces. Last season, the Beef went 8-8 before falling in the first round to the Outlaws who finished 9-7 in the first season in the UIF.
