May 12, 2003 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Detroit Fury News Release

Auburn Hills, Mich. –The Detroit Fury of the Arena Football League clinched a berth into the 2003 ArenaBowl playoffs with their 76-52 rout over the Las Vegas Gladiators yesterday. And they announced today that playoff tickets for a possible first-round game at The Palace of Auburn Hills will go on sale this Wednesday, May 14. Tickets can be purchased by visiting The Palace Box Office, calling (248) 377-0100 or logging on to www.detroitfury.com.

The Fury moved into first place in the Eastern Division after Sunday's win, with only one game remaining in the regular season. If the Fury win their final game of the season vs. Orlando this Friday, they will win the Eastern Division and will host a first-round playoff game. The game would be played Memorial Day weekend at The Palace and represent the Fury's first-ever home playoff game in the team's three-year history.

"Given where we were last season at this time, earning a playoff spot this year is a great reward for our fans, as well as a great opportunity for the team to bring new fans to Arena Football," said Fury Senior Vice President Greg Myford. "For the many who wait patiently for the traditional college and NFL seasons to roll around, the Fury invites you to come check out a different brand of football. You won't walk away disappointed."

Individual game playoff prices will remain the same as the regular season, with 100-level seating ranging from $10 to $40. Tickets for the front three rows can be purchased at slightly higher prices. Special group pricing (15 or more) will also be available.

The Fury (8-7) are currently in first place in the Eastern Division and will try to win the Eastern Division when they battle with the Orlando Predators (11-4) at The Palace on Friday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the Fury can be purchased by calling (248) 377-0100 or logging on to www.detroitfury.com.
