HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Fun 92.7 FM will be the flagship station for the Alabama Hammers this season.
The Hammers open the 2012 Professional Indoor Football season Saturday night on the road against the Louisianna Swashbucklers and the game can be heard live on 92.7 starting at 7 p.m.
"The Fun Media Group is thrilled to partner with North Alabama's hottest football commodity,'' said Fun owner and general manager Michael St. John, who will serve as the voice of the Hammers during all home games at the Von Braun Center this season. "They really blend in with our lineup of Alabama Crimson Tide football, Tennessee Titans NFL action, and Arabian Knights and Brindlee Mountain Lions prep action. It's a great opportunity football for football fans to get their spring football fix."
The Hammers will hold an open house Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. in the South Hall of the Von Braun Center. The event is open to the public and season ticket holders can come to pick up their ticket packages. The Alabama players, coaches and Hammerettes will be on hand to greet and meet fans. Alabama opens its PIFL home slate March 24 against the Columbus Lions in the VBC's Propst Arena. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and St. John and Fun 92.7 FM will provide the play-by-play. The first 4,000 fans will receive a magnetic schedule compliments of Huntsville Hospital and TOC.
