
FSL Names Pitcher and Player of the Week

The Florida State League today named the Player and Pitcher of the Week for the period July 9 - July 15, 2012.
The Player of the Week was Tampa Yankees Outfielder Ramon Flores. He played in five games and had seven hits in 17 plate appearances for a .412 batting average. His hits included one homerun, one triple, and three doubles. He also stole one base. His OBP was .412 and his slugging average was .882. Ramon is in his fourth year of professional baseball and resides in Barinas, VZ.
The Pitcher of the Week is Tampa Yankees Right-hander Jose Ramirez. This is the second time this season he has received Pitcher of the Week. He started one game, recorded a win, and posted a 0.00 ERA. In six innings pitched he allowed no runs, no hits, one base on balls, and recorded seven strikeouts. Jose is in his fourth year of professional baseball and resides in Yaguate, DR.
