Frost Heaves Win at Jersey To Go 21-3

Madison, N.J.-The Vermont Frost Heaves scored the first 11 points and sustained a double-digit margin for the remainder of the game in a 127-104 victory over the Jersey Express at Drew University on Thursday night.

Vermont, now 21-3 and the top-rated team in the ABA Power Rankings, scored on two Antonio Burks three-pointers moments after the opening tip. For the first time this season guard Brett Gravitt led the scoring parade, checking in with 20 points, while Terrance Green added 18, Dwayne Lee contributed 17, and Burks and John Bryant scored 14 each.

Allen Watson's 21 points led the Express, who dropped to 6-8.

The Frost Heaves return home for a 7:05 p.m. date with the Montreal Royal on Thursday, Jan. 31, at Burlington's Memorial Auditorium. WCAX TV personality Tim Kavanagh will serve as the Northfield Savings Bank Community All-Star as he joins the Frost Heaves in a salute to Vermont's Special Olympians.
