Ottawa Renegades News Release

OTTAWA - This Friday's Family night at Frank Clair Stadium, which includes kids 12-and-under getting in free with every adult purchasing a ticket for the Renegades-Blue Bombers game, is being presented by TELUS.

A major partner of the Ottawa Renegades Football Club since the franchise's inception in 2002, TELUS is the chief backer of the endeavour to create a large, family gathering at the park for the Week 12 contest between Ottawa and Winnipeg. The evening will include children being provided with stick-on (temporary) Renegades tattoos, as well as other free giveaways throughout stadium grounds.

"Football is a great sport and it is a pleasure for TELUS to help as many young people as possible to come out to support the Renegades at the game Friday night," said Michael Martin, TELUS regional vice president. "It is great to partner with the Renegades on this special promotion to provide free tickets to young fans as part of TELUS' commitment to youth and sports here in Ottawa and across Canada."

A key reason for the Renegades agreement for TELUS Day was the family component.

"It is important that TELUS has decided to focus on the youth and the young people in this city and we are excited to be part of what we hope is a great experience on Friday," said Renegades president Lonie Glieberman. "With this offer, we hope that people from all over the region can share a football experience with the entire family. We hope this offer allows families to come out and enjoy Renegades football."

The Renegades offices, located at 1015 Bank Street, will remain open from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. this week, allowing opportunities for families and all ticket buyers to take advantage of this promotion - or simply buy tickets to Friday's home game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (8 p.m. Eastern). The promotion will not be available on game day - in fact is only available on advanced tickets - and ends at 8 p.m. on the evening of Thursday, Sept. 15.

Ottawa returns to action on their home turf on Friday, September 16 for a Week 12 affair against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Frank Clair Stadium (8 p.m. Eastern time). Tickets to the game are available either at the Renegades ticket office (1015 Bank Street), on the Internet (http://www.capitaltickets.ca), by phone (613.599.3267 or 877.788.3267), any Sports Experts location in the Ottawa and Gatineau regions as well as the Corel Centre Box Office in Kanata.
