Fresno Monsters News Release

Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno Monsters have named Minnesota-native, Andy Maher, as the new assistant coach of the Fresno Monsters in the North American Hockey League.

Maher, former head coach of the Springfield Jr. Blues NAHL team, plans to bring his expertise and love of the game to the Valley with the Fresno Monsters.

"Andy is an energetic coach with a lot of experience and will be a great addition to the Monsters staff," explains head coach and general manager Eric Ballard.

Maher will be replacing former assistant coach Mike Perkins, who has taken a new position as the Varsity head coach of the JSerra Catholic High School hockey team, a private school located in Southern California.

Perkins will be missed, and the Monsters would like to wish him and his family the very best.

The Monsters would also like to welcome Andy Maher to the Monsters staff and are excited to incorporate Maher's coaching abilities into the upcoming season with the Fresno Monsters.
