Salt Lake Bees News Release
SALT LAKE CITY (December 15, 2008) - Franklin Covey Field, home of the Salt Lake Bees, is once again featured in Baseball America's Great Parks Calendar. The 2009 calendar showcases the finest ballparks in America each month, with Franklin Covey Field featured in January to kick off the New Year. The image, taken by team photographer Brent Asay, depicts the majestic view of the Wasatch Mountains in front of a sold out crowd.
"We're honored to be selected by Baseball America," said Bees General Manager Marc Amicone. "We've always felt that Franklin Covey Field offers one of the most beautiful views in all of baseball, and we're excited for fans across the country to now see that for themselves."
The Great Parks Calendar, produced by Baseball America since 1984, displays a different ballpark from the Major, Minor, and Independent Leagues detailing the elite stadiums with a full-color photo and description. Selection is based on uniqueness of the ballpark, location, and quality of the photo with Baseball America staff members making the final decision.
Opened in 1994, Franklin Covey Field seats 15,500 and offers one of the closest suite levels in the nation, providing fans the amenities of comfort without sacrificing proximity to the field.
