
Francois Bouchard named the CHL Player of the Week

Toronto - The Canadian Hockey League announced today that Francois Bouchard of the Baie-Comeau Drakkar is the CHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday October 29 after scoring two goals and six assists in three games.
The 18-year-old native of Sherbrooke, Quebec, started the week with two assists in a 7-6 shootout loss to the Moncton Wildcats on October 25. He had a goal and three assists and was the first star in a 6-5 win over the Shawinigan Cataractes on October 27 and finished the week with a goal and an assist in a 5-2 win over the Quebec Remparts on October 29. Bouchard bumped his season totals to 13 goals and 21 assists for 34 points in 16 games.
Kitchener Rangers' goaltender John Murray was the OHL player of the week after posting a 4-0-0-0 record with a 1.25 goals against average and .959 save percentage in four games. Mark Santorelli of the Chilliwack Bruins was the WHL's player of the week after scoring two goals and six assists in four games and Jonathan Bernier of the Lewiston MAINE-iacs was the QMJHL's defensive player of the week after posting a 2-0-0-0 record with a 1.50 goals against average and .946 save percentage in two games.
