
Four QMJHL players on World Under-18 championship roster

BOUCHERVILLE, Friday, April 7, 2006 (QMJHL) - Four Quebec Major Junior Hockey League players are set to participate in the World Under-18 Championship from April 12th to 22nd, which will be held in Halmstad, Sweden.
The roster includes goaltender Jonathan Bernier and forward Stéfan Chaput of the Lewiston MAINEiacs as well as forwards François Bouchard of the Baie-Comeau Drakkar and Hugo Carpentier of the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.
The Under-18 squad is composed of the best players whose teams have been eliminated from playoff contention. Moreover, most of the players on the roster should be selected in the earlier rounds of the upcoming NHL Entry Draft in June.
The Canadian team is coached by Greg Gilbert (Mississauga, OHL). His assistants are Guy Boucher (Rimouski, QMJHL) and Kirk Muller (Queen's University).
