
Four Palace Baltimore Players Named to Team of the Week

July 16th 2009 - Baltimore MD - Crystal Palace Baltimore are pleased to announce that four of their players were named to the USL2 Team of the Week for the 14th week of the season. The quartet were rewarded for their performances in Friday's 2-0 victory over then-league-leading Harrisburg. The win reversed a two-loss skid that threatened to drop Palace out of contention for a playoff spot.
Goalkeeper Brian Rowland was recognized for keeping Palace's first clean sheet in their last eight matches. Rowland pulled off what could be Baltimore club's Save of the Year when he stopped Brandon Swartzendruber's shot on a breakaway in the second half. Shintaro Harada showed his experience leading the back line with great skill and authority to earn his spot on the League team. The Japanese star also made several excellent contributions to the offense. Paul Robson secured his place through his involvement in all aspects of the game from front to back. The Englishman controlled the movement of the ball throughout, capping his masterful performance with the perfect pass to set up Dan Lader's second goal to finish off the game. Rounding out Palace's representation on the team, Baltimore native Dan Lader who showed his value in front of goal with two clinical finishes to secure the Palace victory.
