Four Oshawa Power Players Chosen for NBL All-Star Game

(OSHAWA, ON) Earlier today the National Basketball League of Canada announced the twenty selections for the NBL Canada All-Star game on April 1, 2012 in Halifax, NS.
Amongst the twenty well-deserving players chosen by fans and coaches, four All-Stars were selected from the Oshawa Power. Canadian Tut Ruach, Omari Johnson, Brandon Robinson and NBL Canada number one overall draft pick Morgan Lewis.
Ruach, a true playmaker and leader, is the team's top assist man dishing out 5.21 helpers per game (4th in the NBL Canada). He also averages 12.35 points per game.
Sharp shooting and versatile forward Omari Johnson, who has been a league MVP candidate all season, is the Power's second leading scorer at 17.85 points per game (3rd overall), leading rebounder at 8.74 per game (5th overall) and leading shot blocker at 1.53 per game (2nd overall).
Explosive forward Brandon Robinson is the NBL Canada's leading scorer at 19.5 points per game and leads the team in steals at 1.71 per game (3rd overall).
The high-flying Lewis, a crowd favorite in every arena, averages 17.33 points per game (6th overall). Morgan's defensive prowess shows up in the steals category in which he leads the league with 2.29 thefts per game. (55 steals).
Captains Eddie Smith from the London Lightning and Joey Haywood from the Halifax Rainmen will select 9 players each in a Fantasy draft Thursday March 1 to determine the teams.

The NBL Canada All-Star Game will take place on NBL Canada's All-Star Weekend from Saturday March 31 to Sunday April 1. The weekend will feature several amazing events including an All-Star breakfast, youth basketball clinics as well as a legends game, slam dunk competition and three point shootout.
