Forward María Sanchez Called up to Mexico for CONCACAF W Championship

Forward María Sanchez will join the Mexico Women's National Team following Houston's match against North Carolina Courage on June 19. She will then meet up with the Mexico national team to prepare for a friendly against Peru on June 25. The forward will also compete in the Concacaf Women's Championship, which is hosted in the city Sanchez called home in 2021.
The CONCACAF Women's Championship begins on July 4. Canada will compete in Group B against Costa Rica, Panama and Trinidad and Tobago. The winners of each group will advance to the knockout stages. The winners of the competition will qualify for the the 2024 Summer Olympics in France, while the second and third-place teams will advance to the CONCACAF Olympic Play-off.
The Houston Dash will travel to take on North Carolina on Sunday, June 19. The match will be streamed on Paramount+ and on Twitch for international viewers.
