Fort Worth's John Snowden Named Oakley CHL Player of the Week

February 18, 2013 - Central Hockey League (CHL) News Release

GLENDALE, AZ (February 18, 2013) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Fort Worth Brahmas forward John Snowden has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending February 17, 2013. This marks the second time this season that Snowden has earned the weekly honor (also earned the recognition for the week of January 7-13).

In recognition of his achievement, Snowden will receive a special gift from Oakley. To learn more about all of Oakley's products, visit www.oakley.com.

Snowden had points in all four of the Brahmas games last week including a near record effort in Wednesday's 7-1 victory in Arizona. In the game, Snowden finished with a franchise record five goals (four in the second period) falling just one goal shy of matching the CHL's all-time record of goals scored in a single game (6). In Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Sundogs, Snowden had a goal and an assist helping Fort Worth to another win on a 5-0 road trip.

Over the weekend, the Everett, Washington native scored one of the Brahmas two goals in their 4-2 loss to Allen on Friday and then came back with a pair of assists in Fort Worth's 4-3 overtime win at Tulsa.

On the season, Snowden has scored 21 goals with 15 assists in 26 games with Fort Worth. The veteran played in 22 games with Rapid City scoring two goals with nine assists prior to joining the Brahmas just prior to Christmas.
