
Former T-Rex Player Joins Team for 2003-04 Season

TUPELO, MS---The Tupelo T-Rex professional hockey team is pleased to announce the signing of goaltender Roby Gropp for the 2003-04 South East Hockey League season.
Gropp played with the T-Rex for two seasons while in the Western Professional Hockey League, 1999-00 and 2000-01.
A native of Kamloops, British Columbia, the 6-foot-1, 180-pounder was instrumental in net, racking up T-Rex career record totals of 3830 minutes played in 69 games and an overall record of 41-18-5. He saved a total 1877 shots during his T-Rex career while allowing 214 goals against in his two seasons in Tupelo.
"Tupelo is a great place to play hockey, and I am really excited to come back to the T-Rex and play in front of such great fans," Roby Gropp said. "This is an important return to my career, as I have been working out and conditioning...and I am ready to take to the ice and help this team win games."
Gropp is the first player to officially sign with the T-Rex. The team has been actively recruiting players throughout all levels of hockey, and will continue to announce additions as the weeks continue.
"We are building a very physical, strong, and skilful team," T-Rex Head Coach Mark Richards said. "Gropp's addition to the roster is just the first of many quality players fans can look forward to enjoying on the ice."
