CAMDEN, N.J. - Former Riversharks pitcher Mark DiFelice has been named the pitching coach for the Jamestown Jammers, the Short Season Class-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
DiFelice signed with Camden in 2006 after spending the earlier portion of his career in the Rockies, Orioles, and Nationals systems. He played with the Somerset Patriots in 2005 before landing in Camden.
During the 2006 campaign, DiFelice went 12-9 in 25 appearances, all starts. He posted a 3.19 ERA and a career-high 7 complete games, including two shutouts.
"Mark did a great job during his time here and deserves all of the success that he has experienced," said Riversharks President and General Manager Adam Lorber. "We'll be keeping an eye on Mark's career, and Jamestown has landed an excellent coach."
In 2007, DiFelice signed with the Milwaukee Brewers and worked his way up to the Major Leagues with the team in 2008. He played at the Major League level in Milwaukee from 2008-2009 and in 2011.
In total, DiFelice finished with a 5-1 record and a 3.79 ERA in 77 games with the Brewers.
