Former Cougar Standout is Newest Addition

The San Angelo Stampede of the Intense Football League is proud to announce the first quarterback to sign with the team for the 2004 Inaugural Season. Today, the Stampede welcomes former University of Houston record setting QB Jason McKinley to the team. McKinley, who was just the 29th Division I player ever to make 40 career starts, is in the top three in every major University of Houston career passing category. He also played in the 2000 Hula Bowl and the 2000 Blue-Gray All-Star Game. He was on the 2001 NFL Draft Board and played in Arena 2 last year. In other Stampede news, individual game tickets are now on sale. Individual game ticket prices range from $28 -$9. The Stampede is also proud to announce the hiring of Renee Wooten, she will be an Account Executive specializing in ticket sales.

Don’t forget, open player tryouts will be held this Sunday, February 15, 2004 at San Angelo Stadium. Pre-registration for the tryout is available for $40 on-line at the team website or by stopping by the Stampede offices at 1724 Sunset Drive or by calling (325) 947-DOWN. Participants can also register the day of the tryout at 11 a.m. for $60. All participants must bring a pair of tennis shoes and a pair of cleats.
