Utah Blaze News Release
SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah Blaze have been assigned former BYU offensive lineman Terence Brown, the team announced today. Brown most recently participated in minicamp with the Miami Dolphins, but was subsequently waived to free up a roster spot when the team signed WR Chad Ochocinco.
"Terence Brown is a hardnosed offensive lineman," said President & Head Coach Ron James. "It is obvious that he has been well coached on both the collegiate and professional levels. We are eager to see his progression in Arena Football."
In his final three seasons at Brigham Young University, Brown (6-3, 310, BYU) started 39 straight games along the offensive line for the Cougars. He earned All-Mountain West Conference honorable mention accolades as a junior in 2010. Entering his senior season, Brown was named to the preseason Watch List for the prestigious Rimington Trophy, which honors the nation's top offensive center.
The Utah Blaze (9-5) will go head-to-head with the Georgia Force (7-7) this Saturday, June 23rd on Tim Dahle Field at EnergySolutions Arena, with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 PM MT. Tickets can still be purchased by calling 1-888-99BLAZE or by visiting www.utblaze.com. If you can't make it to the arena, the game will also be broadcast LIVE in high definition on KUTV (channel 2).
