"I knew that Petr had the qualifications to make it to the NHL," Bucks head coach Terry Ruskowski said. "Having him in Laredo last year was a huge benefit for us as a team and organization. He brought a lot of talent with him. I am very happy and excited for him to have the opportunity to play in the NHL. We are hoping that down the road many more players can go from Laredo to the NHL."

Taticek started the 2005-06 season playing with the AHL Houston Aeros. He had nine goals and 17 assists in 34 games with Houston. "This is great for the Bucks and the CHL," CHL President Brad Treliving said. "It further signifies the priority that is been placed by CHL teams in terms of developing players for higher levels."

Taticek was selected ninth overall in the first round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft by the Panthers. He spent the majority of the last two seasons with the AHL San Antonio Rampage.

Taticek, a native of Rakovnik, in the Czech Republic, played four games last season with the Bucks after being assigned on March 1st. He totaled two goals and five assists.
