
Former af2 standout signs with San Diego Shockwave

The expansion San Diego Shockwave of the National Indoor Football League announced today that the team has sign former San Diego Riptide standout Rico the "Hitman" Curtis for 2007 season.
Rico Curtis, 6'1, 238lbs, Linebacker/Wide Receiver out of San Diego State University. He was one the first player signed during the inaugural season of the San Diego Riptide of the AF2. As an original member of the San Diego Riptide, he holds the AF2 single-season record for tackles with 121 in 2002. Rico was the first player in history of the Riptide organization to have his jersey retired. He spent a short time in training camp with San Diego Chargers in 2000.
"Rico brings a lot of indoor football experience to the Shockwave," states Coach Bob Bees. "He is a very big piece of the puzzle we were looking for to build a championship team, with his size, quickness, strength and knowledge of the indoor game he will dominate opponents."
