LNBP All-Star Game was held in Tampico. The Import All-Stars clinched an exciting victory at the end. Rodney Alexander (201-F-87, college: Oklahoma City) knocked down 19 points to lead the effort. LeRoy Hickerson (196-G-82, college: Cumberlands) added 17 points and was named All-Star Game MVP.
Imports selection started strong. They jumped to a 32:26 lead after the opening quarter. They maintained the lead throughout the second frame. Imports enjoyed a 63:54 halftime lead. They kept the Mexican selection at distance throughout the third quarter. The Import All-Stars entered the final period up by 12 points 85:73. Mexican players narrowed the gap midway through the final stanza but Imports stepped on the gas in the final moments and sealed the winning outcome. Jason Horton (188-G-86, college: Missouri) and Eugene Phelps (198-F, college: Long Beach St.) netted 16 points each for the winners. Lorenzo Mata (205-C-86) answered with 18 points and 8 rebounds for Mexican All-Stars. Noe Alonzo (200-F-83, college: Grand Canyon) had 15 points in the loss.
