Several Rockford players had good hitting nights, but the Thunder (17-25) stranded 11 runners and lost to the Philadelphia Force (26-16), 6-1 Saturday night.
Amanda Williams, Tonya Callahan, and Stephanie Best each had multiple-hit nights, Kristen Zaleski scored a run, and Shanna Diller had the lone RBI of the game.
The Force led off the scoring with a second inning home run by first baseman Jenna Hall. They tacked on another in the fifth, as Sharonda McDonald singled Amy Hudson in.
Rockford scored their run in the sixth, as Diller drove Zaleski in with a single. Philadelphia added four runs in the top of the seventh.
Rockford and Philadelphia will play two more games, including Sunday at 3:05 pm. Tickets are just $5 and can be purchased at the Players Park gate in Roscoe.
