Sioux Falls, SD (November 16, 2005) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today the signing of CBA veteran Jemeil Rich for the 2005-06 season, pending league approval. Per club rules, terms of the contract are confidential.
Rich, a 5'10" point guard, brings three seasons of CBA experience to Sioux Falls. He has played the last three season with the Gary Steelheads, earning a berth on the All-Star team in each of his three seasons with the Steelheads. He has CBA career averages of 15.4 ppg and 9.2 apg in 137 games (135 starts). He enjoyed his best season last year as he averaged a career-high 17.8 ppg and a league-leading 9.7 apg. He won several postseason honors in Gary including CBA All-Defensive Team (2003 & 2004) and All-League Second Team (2004 & 2005).
Rich played college basketball at Southern Methodist University from 1994-97. He had career averages of 11.4 ppg and 3.4 apg in 81 games (62 starts).
