Allentown, Pennsylvania - The Philadelphia Force (6-14) continue to struggle, dropping their fifth game in a row, as the New England Riptide scored early to defeat the home team, 3-1. Both teams had seven hits a piece, as the Force left 8 runners on base and the Riptide 4. Force starter Jenn Stewart dropped to 3-6 with the loss, and Erica Beach improves to 1-0 . The Force offense was led by shortstop, Chelsea Spencer, who had two hits.

The Riptide jumped out to an early 2-0 lead when NPF batting leader, Lyndsey Angus, hit a two run homerun in the top of the first inning.

The Force offense left three runners on base in their half of the first. With one out, shortstop Chelsea Spencer singled, Ryan Realmuto doubled and Jenna Hall drew a walk to load the bases. Beach managed to strike out Lindsey Cameron and then induced Jaime Dacey into a ground ball to end the Force threat.

The bottom half of the third inning meant more runners left on base for the Force, as Stacie Pestak and Carri Leto hit back-to-back singles with two outs, but Spencer was unable to deliver the RBI.

Destiny Frankenstein added an insurance run in the top of the seventh inning, crushing a ball to deep center field for the second Riptide home run of the night, pushing the lead to 3-0.

Spencer opened up the Force scoring in the bottom of the seventh with a two out double to the right center gap, scoring Pestrak from first base. Realmuto ended the game with a pop up to right field.
