New York Sharks News Release

The 2004 Undefeated NY SHARKS Women's Professional Football Team is proud to announce their recent alliance with the HEED Foundation. (Helping End Eating Disorders) HEED provides an effective response to the growing public health problem of eating disorders, a disease that primarily affects young people irrespective of race, sex or economic status. Many of these individuals are male and female athletes.

By partnering with the New York Sharks, HEED seeks to increase public awareness. The New York Sharks are the most successful team in women's football and have a strong outreach mission designed to support youth and adult sports programs which focus on building self-esteem and promoting fitness and well-being.

The first partnering event will be the Sharon Pascale Sports Camp for kids and adults which will take place on Sunday, September 26th at East Islip High School. The camp will include football, soccer and basketball.
