Fog Devils complete successful first season

The St. John's Fog Devils have completed its first season in the QMJHL and finished among the top first year teams ever to play in the League. The club ended the season among the leaders for first year teams in wins, points and attendance.

The Fog Devils defeated the Halifax Mooseheads 3-2 on Sunday to close its first year with a 30-34-5-1 record. The club ended the year on a 2 game winning streak and finished with a 9 game winning streak on home ice - the 4th best home winning streak in the QMJHL this year.

The Fog Devils also finished with an impressive 25-8-1-1 record (a .743 winning percentage) at Mile One Stadium to rank among the best home records this year. As a result of the success on the ice, the Fog Devils finished in 6th place in the East Division (12th overall) and qualified for the Presidents' Cup playoffs. The club will face the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in the First Round which starts this Friday in Sydney, NS with the first game at Mile One Stadium on Tuesday, March 28th.

Tickets for the Fog Devils' playoff home games go on sale starting this Wednesday (March 22nd) at 12:00pm at the Mile One Stadium Box Office. Tickets can be paid for by cash, VISA or Mastercard at the Box Office or by phone (576-7657). Tickets can also be purchased online at admission.com.
