Fog Devils Booster Club Donates to "AAA" Midget League

The Fog Devils Booster Club announced that they have made a $10,000 donation to the Newfoundland and Labrador "AAA" Midget Hockey League. Each of the League's 5 clubs - the St. John's "AAA" Maple Leafs, the Tri-Pen Frost, the Central Blast, the Western Kings and the Labrador Huskies - will receive $2,000 from this donation.

The "AAA" Midget League has developed a number of players who have and are currently playing in the QMJHL. There are six (6) members of the Fog Devils who have come through this system - Scott Brophy, Wes Welcher, Patrick O'Keefe, Ryan Graham, Rodi Short and Matt Boland.

The Fog Devils Booster Club was established in part to provide financial assistance to minor hockey and to selected non-profitable charitable organizations across Newfoundland and Labrador. Funds are raised through the sale of the 50/50 Draw at Fog Devils' home games.

The Fog Devils continue its First Round Playoff Series against Cape Breton on Saturday (April 1st) and Sunday (April 2nd). The Screaming Eagles lead the Best-of-7 First Round 2-1. Tickets for theses games are on sale at the Mile One Stadium Box Office and can be paid for by cash, VISA or Mastercard at the or by phone (576-7657). Tickets can also be purchased online at admission.com.

The St. John's Fog Devils are the newest member of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and are one of 58 member clubs of the Canadian Hockey League.
