Fog Devils announce training staff

St. John's Fog Devils News Release


The St. John's Fog Devils announced today its Training Staff for the 2005-06 season. Shannon Coady will become the club's first ever Equipment Manager, while Todd Row will be the club's Athletic Therapist.

Coady, 28, joins the Fog Devils after 14 years with the St. John's Maple Leafs. He has worked in the Maple Leafs dressing room in numerous capacities and last season was the club's Head Equipment Manager. His experience has seen him participate in Calder Cup Playoff action, NHL Playoff action (with the Toronto Maple Leafs) and a variety of events with the Canadian National Team (Men's, Women and World Under 17).

Row, 27, is a native of Miramichi, New Brunswick and makes his start as Atlantic Therapist with the Fog Devils. He graduated with a degree in Kinesiology from Acadia University and recently completed the Sports Injury Management Program at Sheridan College (Oakville, ON). Row brings with him the experience of 4 seasons of QMJHL Hockey as a member of the Halifax Mooseheads, the Moncton Wildcats and the Granby Predateurs. He also played four (4) seasons of AUAA hockey with Acadia.

The Fog Devils also announced its Medical Staff for the upcoming season. Dr. Ian Marshall and Dr. Dave Jewer, both long time members of the Maple Leafs Medical Staff, will be the club's doctors. Dr. Neil Power will be the club's Team Dentist.

The Fog Devils will open its first Training Camp in Newfoundland on Tuesday, August 16.

The St. John's Fog Devils are the newest member of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and are one of 58 member clubs of the Canadian Hockey League. The franchise begins its inaugural season in September 2005.
