Roster Moves
The Fog Devils announced seven (7) roster moves today that includes six (6) releases and one (1) trade:
F- Brett Burchell
F- Shane Heffernan
F- Coady Roach
F- Paul Roebothan
F- Dominic Tweed
F- Maxime Lincourt (traded-please see below)
G- Michel Breau
Trade
The Fog Devils announced that that the club has traded forward Maxime Lincourt to the Rimouski Oceanic for a 2006 6th Round Pick.
Lincourt, 18, played last season with the Quebec Remparts and scored 15PTS (6G,9A) and had 32PIM in 66 games. He was acquired by the Fog Devils during a June 4th Draft Day trade in for the Fog Devils' 6th Round Pick.
These moves bring the number of players remaining on the Selection Camp Roster to 43 players.
The club begins its seven (7) game preseason tomorrow when it faces the Halifax Mooseheads in Nova Scotia. The Fog Devils play its first ever games on Newfoundland soil, August 27th and 28th against the Halifax Mooseheads at Mile One Stadium. Tickets for this game go on sale to the public on Monday, August 22 at the Mile One Stadium Box Office (starting at 10:00am).
The St. John's Fog Devils are the newest member of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and are one of 58 member clubs of the Canadian Hockey League. The franchise begins its inaugural season in September and plays its Home Opener, September 23rd against the Lewiston MAINEiacs.
