Flying Tigers Home Opener Set for April 5

Lakeland, FL - The Lakeland Flying Tigers 2013 season kicks off on Friday, April 5 at Joker Marchant Stadium when the team begins defense of their Florida State League Championship against the Tampa Yankees. Game time is scheduled for 7:11 pm and the gates to Joker Marchant Stadium will open at 5:30 pm.

2013 marks the 47th season Lakeland has been a Detroit Tigers affiliate, the longest affiliation in Minor League Baseball. This is also the 63rd season Lakeland has been a member of the Florida State League. Lakeland's 2012 Championship was the 6th championship in league history and the first since 1992.

Tickets for all home games are available by calling the Flying Tigers at (863) 686-8075. Box seats are $6 and reserved seats are $5. Seniors 55 and over, children 14 and under and active military personnel receive a $1.00 discount. Saturday tickets are an additional $1. Wednesday All-You-Can-Eat tickets are $10. Monday tickets are $1. Parking is FREE.

The first 1,500 fans that enter the ballpark will receive a free 2013 Flying Tigers magnet schedule sponsored by Crestwood Suites Lakeland.

T.G.I. Friday's Flying Tigers Mug Club Night #1

All fans 21 and older will receive a special Mug Club flier from T.G.I. Friday's. The first 100 fans 21 and older that bring the flier to Friday's after the game will receive a special Friday's/Flying Tigers mug, compliments of Friday's. Friday's is the official "After Party" location of the Flying Tigers for all Friday night home games. Friday's is located at 4204 Highway 98 North in Lakeland.
